Tehran:Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has claimed that an agreement was almost finalized in recent talks with America, but the matter deteriorated at the last moment. According to him, both the sides were very close to a result, but then the situation changed.
This conversation is said to have taken place in Pakistan, where there was discussion on ending the ongoing tension and war-like situation in West Asia. The aim was to somehow find a permanent solution, but the talks stalled before any agreement could be reached.
Araghchi says that when the agreement was almost ready, “excessive demands”, “constantly changing goals” and some obstacles emerged. Due to this, the whole matter got stuck and no final agreement could be reached.
It was also said from Iran's side that lack of trust was clearly visible during the talks. The Iranian side says that they negotiated in good faith, but did not succeed in building trust on the other side. Araghchi also said in a social media post that goodwill builds trust, while confrontation makes the situation worse.
Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian has also indicated that the doors are not completely closed yet. He says that if both the parties talk on the basis of respect and equality then further agreement is possible.
According to Iran, it was one of the most important and high-level talks in recent years, but the final outcome ended without any agreement. Now an eye is being kept on what will be the future attitude between the two countries.
The situation still remains uncertain and the distance between the two countries on many important issues is clearly visible. The most important thing for any further progress will be to rebuild trust between the two sides.
Given the current situation, it is difficult to say that the situation will change soon. If this tension continues then the hope of any concrete solution will also weaken. In such a situation, the future direction will completely depend on the future talks and the stance of both the countries.
